Not only is everyone awesome and totally accepting of someone identifying as LGBT+, there are also a lot of gay people here. My freshman year, my dorm's floor had ~80 guys in it, and I knew for sure that at least 12 of them identified as gay. That's a whopping 15% of all freshman guys are openly gay.
