I (26M) am a grad student and literally anytime sexuality comes up in a conversation, literally everyone assumes I'm gay and I can't figure out why.

I doubt I'm missing hints at flirting since I don't go out much. Lots of guys are gay. But how do you know if you're one of them? We spoke to some experts to help you understand your sexuality a little better.

Genuine question: Why does everyone I meet assume I am gay? AFAB. I'm aware that unfortunately stereotypes affect some ppl's opinion of you so for background, as far as I know I don't match the stereotypes associated with being gay. In high school, my mom used to ask me if I was. I remembered the first KCD game being under fire by woke people trying to cancel it for apparently "lack of people of color" and the devs refused to add them in because they wanted to portray a more accurate representation of the time period the game takes place in. To the point where everyone I know thinks I'm a secret lesbian and I end up really shocking them with the truth.

I'm sure she'll be understanding though. No girls, no guys, nothin'. See one time we were cuddling in my basement. I guess it's because I barely talk about boys much. She doesn't seem to get it.
